OVERVIEW
D&AD New Blood 2021 brief. Challenge: encourage sports fans to take action against climate change. Idea: FIFA 2050 Climate Cup. A game that simulates the devastating impact of climate change on athlete performance.

PROJECT DETAIL
Context: Global temperatures are set to rise 1.5C by 2050. Heatwaves and air pollution are predicted to become a part of daily life (World Health Organisation, 2021). Heat stress and air pollution result in decreased lung capacity, fatigue and impairs coordination and decision making.
The in-game player attributes will include new KPIs, such as lung capacity and heat tolerance.
